Yes,that is the article I intended to send..

As far as the organizing of the `news/politics` pages,I`m not so sure I can be of help. There is so much that you do that I do not understand,as far as all your `tricks` and all the methods you use. You once tried to explain it to me and I was totally lost.

Wish I did understand!

Stan,

The title of the article is -

Residents fear Big Brother watching over registration law

Is that the one you intended me to get?

I always have doubts whenever the PAGE TITLE does not include the ARTICLE TITLE or some sort of reference as to the topic.....

Some news sites are using a 'generic' URL for the Front Page and Feature articles.... so the article contents are easily changed at any time.

Another technique being used, are ASP Active Server Pages, and PHP - don't know what it stands for-.

They are 'shell' formatted pages - which are Actively or Dynamically created with the latest data each time they are requested by someone.

That is why they usually take a LONG time to LOAD and display.

BUT, a page with the .htm or .html extension can also be coded to contain changeable content...

JavaScript is powerful enough to handle dynamic embedded content ....
-------------------------------------------

Before you send an article, please use the INFO key to see the PAGE TITLE. If it is non-specific, then please CCP the Article Title and paste it into the email message body, when you send the page to me - using SEND.

You will have to click the option to EDIT MESSAGE in order to paste the Article Title in your message.

If you have any questions, get back to me by email - and using IM we can have an interactive conversation....

OK ??

Also, I never got any feedback from you about reorganizing the NewsPolitics pages....

The current page has grown to over 40Kb, which my old Classic's cache memory cannot reliably work with the Tripod interface. That is why the last update was on 12/12.

I've been accumulating all the stuff you have sent since then, but it is also growing HUGE.... and I've got the stuff spread over about 10 'work' pages, and are totally disorganized...

I hope you understand. Since 9/11, I've been overwhelmed.

I neglected Chet's input too - but just decided to start another page with 2002 info for Chet.

I posted the Mainichi article on Chet's new page.... with another article I found about the No. Korean boat incident.
